You will not understand the world and the world will not understand you II

I will like us to begin this new year with a look at another form in which living on earth may seem to be a hectic task for a true Christian and this has to do with dealing with people who do not appreciate your Christian nature.

One of the most difficult kinds of people to deal with are those who do not see your value. Indeed, these may be people you care about dearly but who do not value what you value. They are those who do not see you for what your are; a true Christian and deal with you as if you are like everybody else. They will treat you as a liar because every person they may have met has lied to them and as such may not believe the truth you tell them. They may doubt the truth  of your qualities and capabilities and may even seem to be consciously searching for any sign of weakness or failure in your character or person. They may be quick to express their disappointment in you at the least show of blemish in your character or qualities. How are we to deal with these people? Let me share with you a simple lesson I learnt- You are primarily accountable only to God and then to godly people. As indicated in the translations below;

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man

(1 Corinthians 2 vrs 15, KJV).

The one who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is understood by no one

(1 Corinthians 2 vrs 15, NET Bible).

“But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature].”

(1 Corinthians 2 vrs 15, AMP)

The only question is this; are you a spiritual man
